If you have an existing copy of Cauldron already, you should be fine to continue using it, just keep in mind that it is currently unavailable on the Internet and no bugfixes are available. The lack of interest from mod devs in keeping 1.6.4 mods in-date and working is a major reason for this, as you can see from this update. Focus internally has switched full throttle to getting a public version of 3.0 ready.
